Sunday Drive - The Lord Of Peace

Sunday Drive - The Lord Of Peace

We had a beautiful evening at Longwood Gardens.

The Lord of Peace

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NLT)
16 Now may The Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you
.

It states that Jesus is The Lord of Peace. Jesus is the master of peace. He is only source of pure genuine peace.

That verse also says that He gives this peace to us. This gift is a part of who He is. This isn't a gift you can just tear open (like a gift on Christmas morning without recognizing the value), stuff this blessing into your pocket and pull out to use when you want to.

This gift is something that we can wear and use throughout our journey as a believer. It's part of the armor of God.

Ephesians 6:15 (NLT)
15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

We live in a world full of spiritual warfare. We need His peace. When ever I'm frustrated with someone or something. I remind myself that I do not fight against flesh and blood. I need to put on the armor of God including the shoes of peace!

Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

We need that gift of peace every single day!

Do you know what the word peace means? A state of tranquility(calm) and quiet. It also means freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions. Harmony in personal relations.

The peace that The Lord gives us is so much more. It's fuller, deeper, richer. I don't even know if I can put it into words. It's a peace that passes all understanding.

Philippians 4:7 (NLT)
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

John 14:27 (NLT)
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Because we have this peace from The Lord of Peace, we have no need to fear. He is always right here. He will never leave us. Even when life gets crazy and it feels like things are crumbling around you.

Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)
10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken

Nothing can shake His love for you. He never ever leaves us.

Use this wonderful gift He gave you. Each morning put on those shoes of peace and walk through your day with confidence that The Lord of Peace gave you. Keep your eyes and your thoughts on Him.

You got this! He will see you through!

Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Blessings,
Lori
