Everything we have is a gift from God.... even the very breath we breathe.
Take this moment to breathe in deeply. Inhale then exhale... now thank The Lord for the ability to breathe. Isn't breathing wonderful? Without breath we have no life. What's even more amazing is that it continually happens without a thought.
Genesis 2:7 (NLT)
7 Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
Sometimes we just need to take the time to thank The Lord for the little things in life. Like breathing. Trusting in Him with each breath. When we take time to do this we will find ourselves relaxing in His Presence.
We have been blessed with so many blessings in this life.
Psalms 16:11 (NLT)
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.
How many times do we forget to thank Him for the simple things in life? Things we often overlook... Like the blue skies, sunshine, rain, the trees, the colors of the rainbow, friends, and family. Thanking Him for the daily comforts we so easily take for granted.
1 Chronicles 16:10-11 (NIV)
10 Glory in his holy name; let the
hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 11 Look to the Lord and his
strength; seek his face always.
I find the more I thank Him, the more I find to thank Him! It's an endless list of thankfulness.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)
16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop
praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for
you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Sometimes, the more we complain, the more we find to complain about. Have you ever noticed how complaining is contagious? Let's make gratitude contagious! It's really pretty simple, just find more to thank Him for. As you continually do this you will find much more peace and joy.

The greatest blessing we've been given is the gift of forgiveness and eternal life with God! This alone fills me everlasting joy!
Thank You, Lord, for this wonderful gift of life you've given me. Even through hardships, I will choose to thank You!
