Our master bedroom is finished! And I'm finally sharing it with you all! We are so thrilled with this room! Love! Love! Love it!!
Now... where did I leave you last?? Oh! That's right! I didn't even show you the slat wall treatment behind the bed!
This is where we left you last time... Master Bedroom Part 2
Since then, we added this gorgeous slat wall! It is sooo cool! I'll have to write up another post to explain how we created that wall.
Of course we had to hang our favorite sign! Then we hung the mirrors on each side of the bed.
The TV wall was the next project. Our goal was to create a bank of cabinets that look built in. We started with this design. Then decided to change it to make the TV more centered on the wall. That's the beauty of DIY, we can always change our plan and design!
Here's a few photos of the progress...
We added wood to the tops of the cabinets. It turned out sooo good!
Okay! Now for the rest of the room! Let's start from where you walk into our bedroom then I'll show you around.
Love this look. I'll get around to actual decorating at some point... there's just too much to finish in the house right now.
Pendant lights - I converted from outdoor solar lights
Mirrors - Target Threshold
Rug - Amazon - Safavieh Reflection
Blackout Curtains - Oatmeal Those blackout curtains are amazing! I also love that there isn't a curtain rod. I purchased a track system at IKEA that mounts to the ceiling. It really helps to make it dark in there. Especially, since hubby goes to sleep so early at around 6-6:30pm most nights.
Now let's turn to the master closet. We finished that last year. Master Closet Reveal
It's the perfect size for us! If you look closely, into the closet, we added a circular rug that matches the large one.
The olive tree is from Amazon and I found the perfect pot at Lowes! Origin 21 White Modern Indoor Planter
When I went looking for knobs for the cabinets, I was having a hard time finding something simple that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Also, hubby didn't really care for the knobs on our dressers and nightstands. Well, I found a deal and they worked out perfect! I got knobs for everything! I found them at Ollies! Of all places. It was a pack of 10 knobs for $9.99! What?! I was thrilled!
Also, these cabinets have so much storage! I have my jewelry, purses, and sheets stored in there and still plenty of room for more!
We wanted a runner for the hallway. So, I found a runner rug in the same pattern as the other rugs. It worked out perfect! It is 22 feet long and runs from our room all the way down the hall to the barn door.
We couldn't be happier with our master bedroom! Now on to other projects!!
Blessings,
Lori
I love it, especially the tv wall! Would you please tell me where you bought the bed? I like the simple lines! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Thank you! Oh! The bedroom suite is pretty old. It's held up pretty well. We purchased it probably about 14 years ago at Ashley Furniture. It used to be a dark cherry before I painted it.
