When God sees us, He sees us as we are; but at the same time, He can see all that we can become. Because He sees us from His heavenly perspective. His love for us is completely perfect, regardless of our imperfection. This astounds me! His love has no limits, nothing can stop it.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
17 This means that anyone who belongs to
Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has
begun!
We tend to focus on our sins and flaws. He focuses on who we are to become. If we allow God to work in our lives, we will change every day growing and moving toward all that He has for us.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT)
18 So all of us who have had that veil
removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the
Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious
image.
Psalms 8:4-6 (NLT)
What are mere mortals that you should think about
them, human beings that you should care for them? 5 Yet you made them only
a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. 6 You gave
them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their
authority—
He has clothed us with His righteousness and crowned us with glory and honor. We are glowing with the radiance of Christ, especially as we keep our face looking towards Him. Our beauty is a reflection of the glory of God. We are His delight! He sings songs over us! This is how our Savior sees us!
Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)
17 For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his
love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful
songs.
Lord, help me to see myself and others through the lenses of grace that you see me through. I know my flaws and you know them even more, and yet you still love and rejoice over me. Help me to love myself and others like You love me.
Blessings,
Lori
Some time it is hard to seperate LOVE and FAITH, if they can be seperated, when ones feelings for God is examined. Both were at the cross. Both are in our covenant with God. Both are in John 3:16. God's love was with us before Jesus was crucified. However Jesus made LOVE a commandment.

DeleteYes! Thank you for sharing! :)
DeleteYou are so right - Sometimes it's hard to see ourselves like our Creator sees us because we get caught up in the sins, flaws and our finite minds. Thanks for the wonderful reminder! Wish I could hear Him sing over me. Great post.
