Welcome to my fresh and simple spring home tour!
I'm participating in the annual Spring Home Tour. Marty from A Stroll Thru Life, is our hostess with the mostest! She gathers the info from about 30 bloggers and puts it all together into this tour for the week! You can find the full list of all that are participating at the end of this post. These beautiful spring homes will definitely inspire you!
If you're coming over from Kathy's site, Up To Date Interiors, welcome! I'm so happy to have you here! Kathy's home is incredible and beautiful. She has an eye for color and detail!
Let's get into this spring tour! If you've been around here for any length of time, you're going to know that we always have some sort of demo going on. It's a bit of a construction zone...😜
Sometimes you have to look for it... like the flooring sitting next to the front window. Then there are other times you don't have to look too hard. The plastic hanging from the ceiling to the floor kind of gives it away. ( We demoed a coat closet that was there. We needed the studs to frame our master closet.)
I'm loving this fresh and simple approach to decorating. It's amazing how just a vase of fresh flowers brightens up the room as well as your mood!
The natural hyacinth plate chargers add such a easy simple detail. I picked up the faux wood chargers at the Dollar Tree.
I've been using this basket on the front door for floral arrangements. I just love the ease of it. This is how I made the front door arrangement.
I thought I'd share some real life, behind the scenes. It's not all cleaned up, that's for sure! I usually move all the "stuff" so that it's out of the camera's view. 😂
The bookcases and the hand-truck have been sitting in the dining room for weeks. I had to have hubby help me move them. 😆
I don't know why, but this little vignette behind the couch, just makes me smile. It's a mix of faux and real.
That 'Christmas' cactus bloomed for me at Christmas. Now it's blooming again! I've never had one bloom twice. What a nice surprise!
A few weeks ago, I decided it was finally time to put some photos on the wall. I put this photo gallery together. I just love looking at family!😍
We just got these two chairs not too long ago. They are sturdy and comfortable. We picked them up at Sam's Club, of all places.
Aren't these tulips just lovely? I bought 2 sets of these white tulips off of Amazon. They look and feel so real! The quality is very nice!
And how about those fun and adorable pink pillows with the pom poms!! I found those on Amazon as well! Pink Pom Pom Pillows.
This view! I love the pops of pink here and there, but not too girly.
I wanted to keep the decor simple on the TV console. So, I added a couple of bright green faux ferns I found at Target.
So, there you have it. It's fresh, it's simple. I really like how it all turned out! I wasn't going to let a little construction keep me from having some fun decorating for spring!
I hope you enjoyed the spring tour! Up next is Cindy, from DIY Beautify. You're going to love her. She has such a beautiful style!
Blessings!
Lori

I've lived in the house with a renovation going on and it drove me crazy so I feel you pain. But even with all that going on, you've done such a great job at making your space look inviting, cozy and springy! I love everything you've done. The touches of pin, the sofa table vignette and the wall collage but my hands-down favorite is the front door basket! Oh my golly, I want that! Hope things get back to normal for you soon so you can sit and enjoy it all. Glad to be hopping with you this week. Oh! And I learned something new. All these many years we've called a hand truck a dollie so I looked it up. We've been wrong! Now I'll sound so smart. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! Thanks so much! Hubby and I actually really enjoy all the reno stuff. We try to not let is get to us. Hey, we've called it a dolly before too ;) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteNothing like tulips to bring Spring into our homes! Love the soft pinks too. And hey, you beat me to that master closet makeover. I've been postponing that project for the longest time. Looking forward to drawing inspiration from yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Cristina! Thanks so much!! I know I just love tulips!! The master closet is going super simple and basic. Nothing fancy, we've got too many projects right now. :)
DeleteI'm amazed at all you've gotten done already. Love those tulips, they really do look real. Adding the gallery wall is always fun and I agree, I love looking at family too. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this season, can't wait to follow along with the rest of your makeovers.
ReplyDeleteHi Marty! Thanks so much! It's been really good for me to join in the tours. It pushes me to make things at least a little pretty during all the reno! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYou have such a beautiful home and I loved your spring tour. Flowers and plants definitely add to the fresh spring feel. I love the pops of pink and how the little lights make your home feel so festive! Great hopping with you!

Hi Shelley! Oh, thanks so much! Our little brick house has come a long way, but has a long way to go! We'll get there. Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteLove the slices of reality. We have been renovating too. Such a joy to be on tour with you!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! It's fun right!!?? I like to keep it real. hahah! Thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteI love all of your beautiful florals! I'm a fan of faux myself, they last forever! Your tulips are perfect and all of your spring touches are so pretty, especially the pops of pink! Good luck with your renos!! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteHi Tamara! Thanks so much! I love faux... I'm a terrible at keeping plants alive. But I keep trying! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYour flowers and greenery are the perfect welcome to Spring! And hey, never mind the demo... at least you're getting projects done!! I actually have a Christmas cactus that is blooming for the second time this year too 😁
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! Thanks so much! We're trying to get stuff done... the list is so long! Slowly but surely. I love my Christmas cactus! It's so cool!
DeleteIt's so nice to meet you via this tour, Lori! And I love that you shared some 'real life' on your tour... I will be doing a bit of that at mine tomorrow! ;-) Your home looks lovely for spring, and that door decor is AMAZING! Going to visit that post now and pin it! Hope to see you tomorrow at My Wee Abode!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie! Nice to meet you! Thanks so much! Can't wait to see your tour! So glad you stopped by!
DeleteLove that you "keep it real" by showing what it's really like living in a home during a major reno! And, the importance of having a pretty space to relax at the end of a busy work day! Love those tulips! They look so real! And, I just noticed we got the same ruffled green napkins!!! Great minds think alike!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Doreen! Great minds!! Love you, girl!
DeleteSo many great spring touches and you must be so excited for your projects! ~ Kristin | White Arrows Home
