I didn't have a photo for today's post. So, I grabbed these fun shots from our Christmas card shoot. This is my adorable daughter in law! I just love her!
Now for today's, devotional... Are you one who likes to 'play it safe' or are you one willing to take some risks? Are you willing to go out on a limb, if that's what The Lord asks of you?
Psalms 23:4 (NLT)
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I
will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
I guess the question comes down to... Do you believe that God will take care of you even when things look risky or out of your comfort zone or even out of your control. Where does your security lie? In your strength or His?
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be
discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will
hold you up with my victorious right hand.
If we are completely relying on Christ, we can walk some pretty scary paths without fear, without concern because we are holding The Hand of the God of creation! The one who holds me, breathed life into everything. Is there anything to small for Him to handle? Is there anything that takes God by surprise?
No, never. We never have to live in fear. Christ is our security!
Romans 8:38 (NLT)
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate
us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the
powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
Life is an adventure. There are going to be times we have to walk on the edge of cliff, and there will be times we are relaxing on a beach watching the waves. Life is unpredictable for us, but not for Him.
Trust Him. He won't let you down.
Blessings!
I enjoy your posts so very much! It a so refreshing to find a blog with a Christian who is not afraid to share.
