This last week at the beach has been one of the most peaceful relaxing vacations. I was reminded over and over again of the faithfulness of God.
The beauty of the sunrise every morning. The continuous crashing of the waves. The birds finding their food in the sea. It was all so incredible.
It just amazed me everyday to see all of this and soak it in.
Matthew 6:26 (NLT)
Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?
That is one of my favorite verses. As faithful as God is to feed all of the birds, why would we think that He wouldn't take care of us? We are more valuable and important to Him than they are.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I had to continuously remind myself of this while waiting and waiting to hear about when we would sign on our new house. I knew the Lord would work it all out, but I still struggled.
Deuteronomy 7:9 (NLT)
Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
Then on the day we were leaving for vacation, we found out that we were signing that afternoon! We decided to forego a bit of vacation to finally get our new little house! Yay! We are so excited!!
