What's crazy to think, is that this could be my last photo under this tree at this house... our move is coming up!
I've had this dress for a couple of years and haven't worn it since March. I have no idea why haven't I worn it much, because I love how simple and easy it is! It's almost like a new dress! 😉
Anyways... Today's devotion is short and simple. It's about living or staying in the present, something I've been kind of struggling with.
Exodus 15:2(NKJV)
The Lord is my strength and song, And He has
become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and
I will exalt Him.
I love this verse! Yes! He is our strength!
There is so much to do in a move and I have found myself overwhelmed more than once.... I keep looking at my lists and measuring them against my abilities and time frame. The fact that as of today, we still don't know the exact date we are signing on our new place, drives me crazy!
Yet, I want to rest in Him. Knowing that HE is in control. HE knows our future. HE is my strength!
Jeremiah 29:11(NLT)For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Lord, help me to stay in the present. I don't want to fall into the hole of 'what ifs'...
Matthew 6:34(NLT)So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
Yes, Lord! Help me to quiet my mind and focus on You today. We'll tackle tomorrow together.
Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we
affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
Blessings,
