It was time to paint this little wall. Ever since we painted in the living room and dining room, the plan has been to continue that gray (or a shade like it) throughout the entry area and up the stairs. But I wasn't quite ready to tackle those massive walls, that is a job for hubby! (Update: The entry is now painted and so are the stairs!)
So, I gave this little entry wall a couple of coats of Valspar's Polar Star. Next, it was time to add some character to this wall.
Here's a closer picture of the stencil. I just love it, I'd say he has great taste!
Not a pro here... Read the directions, put up my level, made a couple of marks, lined it up and went for it. 🤗
Voile'!! The stencil isn't perfect... It got a little wonky here and there, but you wouldn't be able to tell. Shoot, I can't tell anymore! The stencil is pretty light, I used the house trim paint color for the contrast.
I really like how soft it is.
What a quick project with a HUGE impact! Now this has given me the confidence to do other stencil projects!
Blessings!!
That looks lovely! I love the pop of color you added with the yellow flowers and the stenciling looks great! Much better than I could have done. You are such an inspiration :)

Lori,
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and such a fabulous idea. I have been going back and forth about what to do in a glass cabinet. This is perfect. I hadn't even thought of stenciling.
Hi Christy! Thanks so much! Stenciling adds so much character!
