I'll just start off with this...
We did NOT finish the garage floors...
Let's just say that was more frustrating than I ever thought it would be!!
But we did make some great progress in the garage, which I'll also be sharing about this week. :)
I've really liked sharing with you what I wear and what I'm learning each week at church.
You know what's funny... I really don't "dress up" that much. Pretty much the only times are for church, special occasions, or going on a date with hubs.
Most days you'll find me like this....
Most days you'll find me like this....
Shorts, a t-shirt/tank top and flip flops.
FYI...I would wear flip flops year round if the weather permitted. :)
During the fall/winter I'm in jeans and a t-shirt.
And on "apartment days"... well...
I'll spare you a picture... but imagine a pair of shorts that are 2-3 sizes too big splattered with paint and an older tank top that has some sort of stains on it.
Yep, that's what I'd be wearing and.... flip flops.
But yesterday...
I wore this...
Nothing new here... But some outfits just keep working, and if you buy good quality and take care of your clothing, it should last years!
This skirt is probably 10+ years old, and I'm thinking the top is right around that time too.
But I feel like they are still in good shape and they fit well and are still in style. Simple and classic.
Our Pastor has continued his series going through Thessalonians.
1 This letter is from Paul, Silas and Timothy. We are writing to the church in Thessalonica, to you who belong to God our Father and The Lord Jesus Christ. 2 May God our Father and The Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
2 Thessalonians 1:1,2 (NLT)
Grace is God's unmerited favor given to those who don't deserve it. That's all of us!
Peace is what Christ did between us and the Father through His death.
Even in tough times Jesus brings us grace and peace.
That inner calm we can have when our lives may be falling apart.
I don't know about you, but I need His grace and peace everyday.
Not that my life is falling apart, but there is so much comfort knowing I can depend and trust in Christ.
Trials are a part of life, it's what makes us stronger.
It makes our faith grow and our walk with Christ becomes more than is was before.
One of the keys is to place our troubles at the foot of the cross.
29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
Matthew 11:29-30 (NLT)
Trust in the Lord. He is faithful.
Blessings,
