What a beautiful weekend!Perfect weather!
We had a birthday party to go to at a campground.
We love visiting with friends and family around a campfire.
Then after church and lunch, hubby and I had a "date afternoon".
We hopped on the motorcycle and rode into Gettysburg.
Walked around and had some amazing Mr. G's homemade ice cream and cruised back.
This was kinda "funny"... NOT!
I had planned on wearing a completely different outfit, but you know when you are shocked, by the fact that some cute outfit doesn't fit quite as well as you remember? Of course I was completely "unaware" that I overate this weekend and gained a few extra... a few simple pounds seems to make the HUGEST difference! ugh... (I'm not even sure hugest is a word)
Well, needless to say that Mr. G's did not help my predicament, but I'll be on a mission this week to shed those "few little extra". :P
Anyway... back on track here...
The cardigan I've worn before, the shirt is from my "bigger" days and I'll share a secret...shhhh...
(I actually pinned it in the back to give it some shape around my waist) No one even knew, that sweater did not come off, it was too chilly anyway.
I love those pleats! It just makes the skirt feel fun!
Then I finished the outfit off with some leopard pumps.
Boy, those legs need some color...
I guess I'll be digging out the self tanner. :]
We had a special speaker at church.
A young man named Jared. He shared a powerful word.
God has more for us than what we are currently experiencing. Amen!
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 (NLT)
We need spiritual wisdom and understanding to grow and become more spiritually mature.
Spiritual maturity does not come by attending church.
God does not revolve around us. God has a plan, and He will move with us or without us, but He will move.
In Mark 9: 14-22
It tells when Jesus healed the demon possessed boy.
Jesus, Peter, James and John just had come down from the mount of transfiguration and came upon his disciples and teachers of the law arguing. Jesus asks, "What is all this arguing?"
Then someone from the crowd yells about how they couldn't cast the demon out of the boy.
Jesus asks for the boy to be brought to him.
And in verse 21, he asks the question...
"How long has this been happening?"
Why would Jesus ask this? Did He lack information? Was the information contingent on what Jesus would do? No, I don't believe so.
I do believe that God gave Jared clear insight on this verse.
That God can undo things that have 'always been broken'.
God can heal something you were born into.
How awesome is that??!!
The God of the universe is in the business of always building up. ALWAYS.
The enemy is always tearing down. Always.
God wants more than you just observing.
He wants you participating.
We just need to Go for God!
He has so much more for us than we are currently experiencing!
Blessings,
