Well....
That's where I found myself today.
I've been whining and complaining about way too many things lately.
I've had no desire to do anything...
Just want to sit around.
Of course, I can't do that. Which is probably a good thing.
I think I've been letting things get to me lately.
The weather for one, has made me grumpy for the last month.
This has been one LONG and COLD winter!
I'm truly thankful for spring!
I can finally get out and enjoy the sunshine.
I also think working at the apartments has been wearing on me too. It's been a long 4 years renovating all of them. Hallelujah! We should be finished with the last one this month. I'm so already to be done!
So, this is where I found myself.

Ugh!
I'm reading a book about Roman times and a slave girl is working for this rich affluent family. She serves with love and humility, even though she is mistreated at times. The master was speaking to her about how he would free her, if it wasn't for his daughter.
And she replied, " I am free, my lord".
Oh, that hit me!
She was free in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That's when it dawned on me.
I am free in Christ, but I've been acting like I'm a slave to this world. A slave to the apartments, to the weather, to my home, my life.
I'm not a slave. But I want to be a servant.
To serve Christ with love and humility.
I've been acting selfish, and spoiled.
There is so much for me to be thankful for!
What business do I have of complaining?
I have a loving family, I live in a free country.
I do not have to worry about a roof over my head or where the next meal is coming from.
Lord.... forgive me.
You're grace and mercy is new everyday!
Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I know there hasn't been many postings from me.
I'll get back into the swing of things, especially when I have some free time on my hands in a few weeks! Yippee!!

On an good note...
Hubby and I went to visit this sweet thing!
The bow was from the gift we gave her.
She's so cute!
She turned 21! I can't believe it!
I'm so proud of this Godly young woman.
And for my birthday girl, I baked my very first chocolate cake from SCRATCH!!
It actually turned out pretty good!
I'm going to make a few tweaks to it and try it again this weekend.
Doesn't it look delish?
So, hopefully, you'll be patient with me.
