(My) Fashion over 40 ~ Leaving A Legacy

Who's ready for spring? I know I am.  This has been a  l o n g  winter.
Here in PA we still have a few more weeks.
I'm ready for some warmer temps.... Ooooo flip flops... I live in them all summer long!

But the reality is there is still snow on the ground and our temps seem to be hovering in the 30's.
So, being that I run very cold, I'm still going to be wearing sweaters.
Don't get me wrong, I like sweaters. I'm just ready for short sleeves. :)

My style will become more and more apparent, as you read these posts.
Classic.  Maybe with a little edge. I like classic, it's timeless.

I don't have to worry about something going out of style.  Although, my daughter would say turtlenecks are done with.  I still like them.

Fashion Over 40

This outfit is very simple.  A light gray cowl neck sweater, I picked up at Target on clearance. (You will notice a trend....Clearance. Yep, bargain shopper here!)
The pencil jean skirt, on clearance at Target. Yes, I love Target, especially since they built one in town a couple of years ago. I don't remember where I found the gray tights and the pumps I picked up at Ross Dress for Less.

I liked this picture because it showed  how long my hair is!
It has been years since my hair has been this long. And growing out my bangs...
I've always had bangs! This is different for me. We'll see....
I like to do different things with my hair,
and I can do a lot more with it when it's longer.

What makes this outfit work for me is the pop of color
in red pumps (even though you can't see the color too well) and the jewelry.

Do you find anything funny in this picture?

Oh. No? Hmmm... When I saw this picture, I felt like Queen Amidala in the Star Wars movie wearing one of her weird headdresses... The chandelier looks like it's mounted on my head.  ;P Hahaha!

Yesterday our guest speaker at church spoke about legacy.
What kind of legacy will you be leaving?
What will you be remembered for?

Hubby and I went to a funeral of wonderful dear woman in our church last week.  He asked me if I ever think about what people will say about you at your funeral.  To be honest, I can't remember ever thinking about that. I don't know why, but no.  He said that he wants to be remembered as being a generous person, giving, and loving. Hmmm.
Well, so I thought about it....I pray that I will be remembered as a person that represented Christ with integrity and love, trustworthy and giving.

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.
Philippians 1:9-11(NLT)
