Well, we tried it out.... Hubby and I.
I was really anxious to try this new thing out.
No more constant dipping into the paint tray.
Basically, you draw paint into the tube and twist the handle as you need paint.
Pretty simple.
This is what was in the box.
It was easy enough to put together.
If you didn't know, we are in the middle of our last renovation
at one of our apartments (happy dance),
so there is plenty of painting to do.
Of course, we use a 5 gal bucket of paint at the apartments,
so drawing the paint into the stick was a little tricky.
It would have been smooth sailing, if I was using a regular one gallon paint can.
You can see the paint coming through the paint roller.
Ready to paint!
It went really quick! The paint went on easy and smooth.
I had the walls done in no time!
I had great leverage with the paint stick.
What I really liked, was how I didn't have to climb up the step ladder and then go all the way to the bottom of the wall and get down on my knees.
I think that probably made it go quicker too!
Now for the ceiling.
I'm sure I've told you all before that....I don't paint ceilings.
Shoulder problems, up and down the ladder
...blah blah blah.
Hubby is 6'4" and has a much better angle to paint them. So, he wins! Yay!
Hubby is such a trooper. He puts up with all my "stuff"!
And through it all he's my #1 fan! Love that man!
Anyway, I asked him to try out the EZ-Twist Paintstick.
He liked not having to dip the roller in the paint tray, too.
But noticed that it was heavier to use over your head.
He finished the ceiling, and felt that it was probably better for walls,
because of the extra weight. Plus it wasn't actually long enough for Hubby.
He likes being able to attack a large area from one place.
Then it was time for cleaning. That was a bit time consuming.
Overall, I liked it. I think I will use it for big projects.
I don't feel it would be worth the time for a small wall.
So, there you have it.
Did you catch my post on the
That was awesome to use!
Let me know if you have any questions on either of these two great products.
And btw...HomeRight has been great to work with!

I. can't wait to try this roller. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Darla! It is pretty cool!
DeleteDo you hand paint the perimeters , like between ceiling color and wall color
ReplyDeleteHi Corrie! Actually, the paint is the same color everywhere, the walls, ceiling and cabinets. So I just spray painted the cabinets and didn't worry about the overspray. Then I painted the walls and ceiling like normal. That sure make it easier. Thanks for stopping by!
