Now, when I say "EASY"...
I mean EASY!!
I love pot roast. It has such wonderful memories for me. When my mom was here, she would have such fun having everybody over to her tiny little apartment and cook pot roast and vegetables. She wasn't much of a cook, but she knew how to do pot roast! It was good everytime!
As the weather starts turning a bit chillier, are you looking for more comfort food to eat? I know I am!
Something warm and tasty?
I'm going to share that little secret with you that makes this recipe so easy!
Have you ever used Reynolds Oven Bags?
That's the secret! I cook my Thanksgiving turkey in them too. The meat always comes out moist and tender, with no basting!
That's it, isn't that easy?! I just follow the instructions that come with it. It's really that simple.
Pop the meat and veggies in the bag, cook as directed.
This is the perfect dinner for fall.
Enjoy!!
Blessings,
Lori
We roast our turkey in an oven bag too. I will have to try pot roast in an oven bag. It sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteYay! And your turkey always comes out perfect, right?! I don't think you'll be disappointed. There are lots of things that can be cooked in the oven bags! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThis looks like a pot roast that even I can't mess up! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Eliesa! No way, you can't mess this one up! If I can do it, so can you!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!!
This looks really easy and very tasty! Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Danni! You bet!
DeleteI never thought of cooking a roast in the bag. I love the way the turkey comes out of there, so can't wait to try this! Lori, your picture is making my mouth water!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo easy, Janis! Makes clean up easy too! Thanks so much!
DeleteI've never tried the oven bags for roast. It sure makes the clean up easier. Did I see sweet potatoes in your pot roast? I've got to try that the next time I make roast.
ReplyDeleteHi Sallie! Clean up is a breeze, and yes! Those were sweet potatoes in there.... so good! Funny how I seemed to forget to add the carrots.
DeleteThis looks like the perfect thing to cook for my elderly parents (since I don't cook much at my empty-nester house...I'm a lazy cook too) at their apartment and call dinner "done". It is SO beautiful on the plate too...a big bonus...some pot roasts cooked in the slow cooker don't look that pretty even if they taste good. Thanks for hosting this party for us.
ReplyDeleteAwww Gayle, you are the sweetiest!! I'm a super lazy cook! It's gotta be easy! We're empty nesters too! Thanks so much for stopping by!
