Happy Friday!!
I'm especially thrilled
because tomorrow hubby and I are leaving for a much needed vacation!
A whole week on the beach... doesn't that sound wonderful??
So, I thought I'd post something that I just did today.
I revamped my cleaning calendar.
About a month ago I did a post called

How To Make Cleaning Easy
That cleaning calendar has really revolutionized my life.
I know that sounds a bit over the top, but it really has freed me up.
Granted, I honestly don't follow it to the letter.
But, I realized that if something doesn't get done one week, it will most likely get done the next.
Now I don't feel overwhelmed,
feeling like I'll never get around to cleaning this or that.
You know what's really funny? I've made my bed almost everyday. I think there have only been a few days that I didn't. For me that is HUGE!!
It really gives me this feeling of satisfaction.
I know.... weird....

Many of you might know I'm a huge list maker.
I've confessed to this before.
I have master lists, blog lists, daily lists, menu lists, etc....
There is just this magical feeling of accomplishment when you cross something off a list.... <3
I believe only other "listers" will completely understand that magical feeling.
So, while I loved that cleaning calendar. I never printed it up. I had it on one of my computer screens. (One of the perks of having a son as a computer science major, he set up one of our old flat screen monitors as an extra screen so that we could drag docs or whatever over there and use both computer monitors... cool, huh!?)
Anyways...
I just left it up and would refer to it.
I did pretty good with that but, "the crossing stuff off addiction",
was not being fulfilled....
To remedy that I bought some scrapbook paper at Hob Lob.
It was half off so a whopping total of $.35!
I had to cut it to size to fit in the printer.
Printed it up!
Found this old frame in the basement.
I liked it because it was really light weight.
I want to put magnets on the back and hang it on the side of the fridge.
Then I painted it orange.
Can you have too much orange?
I think not!
Cleaned up the glass, popped it in. Done!
I had some of the sticky back velcro stuff and wrapped a piece of that around the dry erase pen and a little piece on the frame. Add some magnets and I'm in business.
Look! Now I can cross stuff off!
I can even add notes on the side.
Yes, I'm holding it up there, because I need to run to Wally World and pick up some heavier magnets. :)
Don't ya love it!

DeleteI just made a "cleaning schedule" but would have never thought to put it behind glass & use a dry erase marker to check things off. How clever!! Thanks for the inspiration. I would love if you would share this at my link party going on right now:
